Since there are so many options for setting up the wanzers, I won't be including any strategies, just suggesting incremental upgrades to parts and weapons. Naturally, what I mean in these examples is to simply use a missile launcher, and to send your rifle-bearing character (if you have one) to the elevator. I might say "use Emma's missile launcher" or "send Dennis to the elevator". Finally, most of the strategies in the walkthroughs will assume that the player is not making any significant changes to the characters' wanzers or weaponry e.g. Oops.) I'll put in front of any extensive forays into the virtual Net, so that those who aren't interested in this aspect of the game can skip them. (Fear not, I promise to never use the phrase "You've Got Mail!" in this FAQ. I'll make mention in the walkthrough when information comes to you, but checking each website for updates will be up to the reader. For the moment this FAQ will not have comprehensive coverage of the "virtual Internet" within the game. Introduction | +-+ I won't be repeating information from the manual in this FAQ, and the in-game tutorials are excellent, so there's not much to cover in this section other than a few meta-topics. It's something I should have done some time ago. I'm surprised at how many e-mails I continue to get about this FAQ, and I guess you could credit them for rekindling my interest. Version 1.2: Started work on the Alisa walkthrough. If you want to know more then just read the manual. Oh, and realizing that a lot of the info I provided in the Character Profiles was just taken from the instruction book, I cut them down a bunch. I'll do Alisa's story eventually, but now it's time for something completely different. I've had about all the FM3 I can take for quite a while. Version 1.0: 40 hours and a whole lot of Chex Mix later, the Emma walkthrough is DONE. I fired up my old Alisa save, so the weapons tables at the end should be complete now, and while I was at it I completely revised the format. Version 0.6: Work continues apace on the Emma walkthrough. Updates to all sections, and I decided to upload what I had as long as I was sending in the GT3 Car List (plug, plug). Please send comments on the existing parts of the FAQ to įront Mission 3 Version 0.4: Amazingly, I've found time to come back to this FAQ, which I had otherwise abandoned. Ideally, progress on this FAQ will be steady until it's done. We have a long, long way to go, but I thought what was here so far warranted release so everyone knows what to expect. Version History | +-+ Version 0.2: First version. The latest version of this FAQ is always available at GameFAQs (+-+ | Table of Contents | +-+ I. Some material from the reference section will be repeated verbatim in the walkthrough when new characters, wanzers, or game mechanics become available, so don't be surprised if a paragraph looks familiar. When this FAQ gets larger, I may consider splitting it up into multiple parts, but for now general tactics, walkthroughs of both Emma's and Alisa's stories, and the reference section will be one contiguous document. Front Mission 3 is a tactical RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics, and Square surprised us all by translating this tactical RPG into English and releasing it in North America, as the previous installments in the series hadn't made it across the Pacific. The end result of the Cadenza battle, and how you tackle the battle at the dam affect other things.Front mission 3: Complete FAQ & Walkthrough By Dave Connoy Version 1.2: 2 February 2003 +-+ | Preface | +-+ Welcome to what will, in time, be a complete Front Mission 3 FAQ. > Emma's story has many more internal branches and subdivisions. Worth having, as Kyokei legs are light enough to mount on a missile unit, which doubles its mobility! ![]() > Kyokei wanzers (and parts) are harder but not impossible to find in Emma's story (must be unlocked, you don't get Miho's if she isn't present). At least you can carry skills from one storyline into the other as a playthrough. > The Meledyne wanzer is only available in Alisa's story the Drake (and its "Chaff" defensive skill) and Qibing 0 wanzers only in Emma's (and you have to capture a Qibing to get it). Some characters don't appear at all in the other storyline (Miho only in Alisa's, unless you count the Ten-Mou wallpaper, and Li only in Emma's), You fight Jose in both, but can only recruit him afterwards in Emma's (I personally recommend you decline him, so that you can instead pick up Li, and his better wanzer, later in the game). ![]() > Certain characters appear as party members in one story and opponents in the other - Liu, Marcus, Yun, Lan, Pham. ![]() > The number of battles it takes to finish the game differ Emma's has more. Different stories, with different locations equals "not much?" LOL.
